The Dinosaur Letters application offers an engaging and educational experience for children to learn their alphabet through an interactive process of hatching dinosaurs from eggs. While designed to be enjoyable, it also serves as a practical tool for developing foundational literacy skills.

The program enables learners to practice forming both cursive (joined-up) and pre-cursive letter styles. These options can be selected within the settings to match individual learning preferences or curricular requirements.

Phonics pronunciation is provided according to either US or UK English standards, facilitating children’s ability to analyze and decode words effectively. Upon completing the uppercase letter exercises, users access a simple phonics-based spelling game. Successfully forming lowercase letters in either style unlocks a dot-to-dot activity, which reveals a dinosaur emerging from its egg.

Developed by educators and tested in classroom environments, Dinosaur Letters emphasizes evidence-based approaches to literacy development. The British Dyslexia Association recommends teaching continuous cursive handwriting, recognizing its benefits for students with dyslexia.

The system’s primary advantages include:
